I wrote this poem to get out feelings about someone.
The pain that you've inflicted
has crippled me for life.
Your touch still lingers,
cutting like a knife.

A myriad of feelings
clutching at my heart.
Anger, pain, and shame,
are tearing me apart.

The tears begin to well
my facade starting to fade.
You know that you have won,
striking with your blade.

It always goes like this
my courage forever failing.
A storm roars within me,
for you its all smooth sailing.

You'll never come out of hiding.
You relish the darkness I see.
And I've learned never to expect,
you'll release your hold on me.
