After she did what she should, would you kill her heart?
The Marred Romance

February 3, 2007

I lie awake tonight in pain,
For your words have killed me all the same.
All that I have ever done is tossed in my face,
And I’m the one left in this horrid place.
My love for you wasn’t good enough in your eyes,
Though I put up with your manipulation and lies.
You played with my heart like your filthy guitar.
Cold and heartless is all that you are.
The words written on the pages of your last letter,
Cut deeper and hurt worse than ever.
You spoke of a pain, of which you do not know,
Of a lost love that a cruelty had forced the pain to grow.
Accusations of me pretending to love you,
Then ripping your heart into pieces more than two.
I cried so hard the pages blurred.
I will tell you my feelings though they sound absurd.
You wished me out of your life and heart,
I would not change our relationship at any part.
I love you still in all of this.
And though our relationship was not always bliss,
I would do it again all the same,
Not one thing would I ever change.
