I have created a poem concoction of the elements of high school I dislike.
Listen,
Stop letting kids
harass kids. Everyone
knows
that ignoring them
Never works,
and they Never
go away. Bullies
Don’t take bait:
that’s the job
of the victimized.
Just as humans
now rule the top
of the food chain,
Bullies have stolen
that same position,
and now
the victims become
the life forms
so low so
Battered too
torn to Survive,
and high school lets
The Predators lurk around
searching for another
chance to
Pounce.

Stop thinking
that students
have only a few classes, and
their Brainload won’t suffer
from one more pile of
review questions. In
A school of fish,
everyone
Collaborates,
teachers lead
as well but
the children
are not only
Included
but are the essential.
we should be able to
qk explore freely the
sea of
Knowledge, but without
the extra baggage.

Stop cutting funds
for Programs that
can’t be important
because they teach
Skills other then
kicking a football.
leaving a member
of the herd behind,
means in wildlife
that the life
of this animal may
be Doomed.
its sprit, however,
is never embodied
by that dreadful fate,
and will live with
that heard forever.
Don’t kill other
Programs: its like
Presenting the carcass
and slaying the sprit
of the class.

Without high school,
Unfortunately there is
no zoo to harbor the
Wild and the free dreams
of those who attend.
so there’s no matter
what can occur behind
The Backs of the zookeepers
Or what happens when
the zoo lets these rampant
Dreams roam free,
the end
result is part of the cycle
of growing adolescence.
