This is simply inspiration for those in the commnunity that are labeled as "other".
To the dark skinned nappy headed youth

Hold your head high. Learn from the wise and study the rest.
Evil, ignorant men will persecute you instantly, due to your dissimilar looks, so
take pain, hatred and hurt as a test.

When you are ridiculed and attacked, lay upon my breast
dear, sweet child. Confide in me and we shall share our despair, but
hold your head high. Learn from the wise and study the rest.

Hold all that is truth and justice tight, don’t buy into the commercial mess.
Understand your nappy, curly hair, dark chocolate skin and minority label do not need to be adjusted, so take pain, hatred and hurt as a test.

Do not separate yourself. Notice differences and realize no one is worth more or less,
hurl yourself into what was you culture and make note of what it has become.
Hold your head high. Learn from the wise and study the rest

Embrace the melting pot of cultures and learn about the world around you.
Laugh loud, dance hard, eat plenty and do all that is best
in life. Take pain, hatred and hurt as a test.

Tears, blood, struggle, humility, slavery, freedom, the historical mess.
Now festering of poverty and welfare are the reality of this government created mess,
but, hold your head high. Learn from the wise and study the rest.
Take pain, hatred and hurt as a test.
