A girl alone in her room strangling her pilow in sobs.
Bruised everywhere,
By the harsh blows of loneliness.
Instinct tells me to get away,
But how does one evade solitude?

Tears run down my flustered cheeks,
In every drop goes a part of my spirit.
Staining down my face,
As the pain stains my heart.

Alone in my room they flow,
Drenching my pillow clenched in iron fists.
My body trembles with every sob,
Each coming from the recesses of my soul.

Hair in tangles and knots,
Not worrying about how I appear.
For I am only sharing my deepest feelings,
With the softness of the pillow pressed against my face.

To be so alone in a world this huge,
Seems quite impossible.
But it is oh so true,
If anyone could understand.

Emptiness fills me,
Sadness holds me down.
Simply wanting to be helped,
Will you be the one?
