Ahaunting dream pierces through my soul and inspires this poem
The twisted faces
The piercing scream
It haunts me still
Contorted memories
The blood runs
Slowly
Consuming me
As I release my pain
And anger
My mind
Playing tricks on me
The whispers
Of people who used to be my friends
Hiding in the shadows
Secretly saving themselves
Hoping
Never to become like me
Dead
I heed salvation
Redemption
Somebody help me
The screams are caught in my throat
Battling the tears
But refusing to come out
The muffled sounds
No one hears
The silent cry
Is anything but heard
I have never been
Anything
And I remain
Worthless
It seems as I no longer exist
The silence
Follows me
Then
Slowly
The isolated nightmare
Penetrating what's left
Of my wounded soul
The black stone
That remains my heart
I am blind
Except for the ghosts
Repeatedly appearing
Fear
Panic
That thing I cannot explain
Explodes in me
As if in reverent suicide
Devouring my spirit
Casting it into a dungeon
Of eternal insanity
And ending my mortal days
Forever making me
Whole...
