This is about a single incident of a Hit Man.
Can't remember fog like this
Here, this should do it. Parking brake
Twelve-fifteen. Damn! Tomorrow already
Better click off the dome light
Supposed to be an abandoned dock. You never know
Time to do this terrible deed

Push open the door, pop the trunk
He's so small! Small and dirty
God only knows where this bums been sleeping
Gloves? There.

The bruise on his head had already turned
Okay, arms under his shoulders...pull...
He fell hard. Like a ton of bricks
The knife against his chest, next to his heart
PUSH...."Shushhh. It's okay."
Drag the knife to the left. Next to his heart
God Damn It! The mother fucker bit me!
Took a chunk off from my arm!

"I understand, you want to live."
No more of this then. Slide the knife over hard
His eyes find mine
"PLEASE" he says, while sputtering blood into my face
"Forgive me." I whisper, into his ear
He cannot hear me
The fear and pleading has left his eyes forever

I see a glimpse of my reflection, in his eyes
I see the last thing he ever saw
I close his eyes. Leaving thin trails of his own blood
Somewhere out there a bell bouy clangs
"Clang-clang. Clang-clang."
Tolling for the dead

Shovel! Dig the hole
Body dragged into it
Shovel! Fill the hole back up
Exhausted. I return to my car
I look at my reflection in the rear view
Adjust the mirror to my face
I smile...
My job is done
