Just what the world needs... another poem about depression. Smile.
Black Dog

I hear the heavy paws crushing dead leaves behind me,

My collie bounds gleefully ahead, swift and light of foot illuminating the forest with her joy.

The black dog stalks me constantly, heavy the burdens of profound pain, sorrow and death. 

I cannot keep up with my collie.
