My friends and why they are dear to me. Dedicated to Lin & Bren.
Friends
(Dedicated to Linda and Brenda)

"Who is it?," I ask, "who's calling in?"
"I don't know," she groused, "Linda or Bren.
You know I can never tell them apart."
That's because they're not close to HER heart.

Linda and Bren or Brenda and Lin,
my friends for so long, one set of twins.
They are much alike, peas in a pod,
Gifts to me from my loving God.

For more than 45 years
we've been thick and thin,
me mostly thick,
they, slim as a stick. :)

Through husbands and babies
we sail along.
Through revivals and pot lucks
like a set of happy ducks.

"You can't tell them apart?"
"Well, I always can.
It's two for the money
and two for God's plan."
