a journey inside leads back to life
Into the cave descended I
past the heart of the earth
into the darkest night.
Crawling, inching alonf the walls
till my knees found the hole
into the river I fall, I fall.

Three days submerged without a breath
no boundaries, no form had I
as in Her womb I slept;
amniotic sweetness to heal this soul.
Cleansing, freeing, releasing
the iron clad laws of my mind.

Three days rebirthed
into the void of light
rejoicing with coos and mirth,
placated by the nurse's hand
as she records the dreams
through the underland, the inner land.

There on the throne of Mnemosyne
able to free my tongue
of fear and deathlike sleep
new strength had I, had I
with sweet and horrid dreams
of my journey, my death, my life...
