The relationship between a broken family.
Ten years later and you're still the same.
Doesn't time do funny things to the other half?
You still speak in that voice. Shrill but dead

like the words hanging off your toungue could
ever harm me, like you hurt her.

It doesn't matter where you've been
and what you've become. In my eyes you are
still the same. The same rotting soul

that judged me and made me feel like I
wasn’t worth the light of day or the dark of night.

If you were trying to succeed, you did.
But only for a moment. The earth blinked
and I looked away as the casket

sank into the earth.
