The miraculous power of friendship.
Dear Beloved Angel,
If there ever was a way to repay you
For everything you've done for me,
I pray that these words I speak
May explain all that I need to explain
And say all that needs to be said.
You came to me like the sun
And I - trapped in a bleak nightmare world -
Saw your radiance
Fingers unfolded, my hand reached for another and held tight.
You, beloved angel, beat your pure wings ferociously
Lifted my broken body out of the dust of despair
And helped me find my footing.

Dear Beloved Angel,
I never asked for you to save me
You simply flew down to lonely me
To work a miracle.
You could never fix me
But you sat with me as I tried to pick up the pieces
And put them all back where they belonged.
When life was too much to bear
And my head was too heavy to lift on my own,
You held up my head for me and sheltered me in your feathery wings.
When I couldn't stand to be in my skin
Because I couldn't stand that itch I couldn't scratch,
You made me believe I was worthy of love.

Dear Beloved Angel,
I see your face melt into a smile
And your eyes glimmer with melting rainbows.
Don't cry for me, my love.
Yes, you washed all my tears away with your gentle love
And held my very life in your open palms.
No doubt you are the miracle I was waiting for.
As I feel the heavens open above us to spill a golden waterfall on our heads
As I see the tiny stars fill the air all around us
As angelic voices erupt inside our heads and fill our minds
I promise to you
That just as you have saved me,
I will learn to save, my Beloved Angel!
