A simple love poem
Stolen Moments
For Dan

Stolen moments,
Would not be traded,
For easy romance or convenient courtship.

It is with in these moments,
Snatched from the hectic pace of our lives,
That I truly know how much you love me.

I wait with batted breath,
My heart races with sweet anticipation,
Are your footsteps at my door?

You show me your heart,
With a quick kiss and hurried touch,
A murmured word passing in the hall.

Such small things,
Yet my heart feels too large for my chest,
Dizzy and lightheaded after you’ve left.

Even now I sit and wait,
Wondering if you’ll come,
Truly, I have never been happier.

For my love resides in stolen moments,
Everything I would give up for,
Not for the world would I trade.
