Often desires are only fulfilled in dreams or imagination.
Everytime I close my eyes and drift into sleep,
your image appears and it makes me weak,
we walk together with undying memories,
you tell me all of your enchanting stories,
a spark of desire creeps through our skin,
taking what we want without discipline,
we embrace with an eagerness of forbidden pleasures,
we experience an exchanging of  unexplored treasures,
absorbing each others thoughts and emotions,
ignoring all our responsibilities and devotions,
I suffer a realization of what I've long missed,
a celebration of the first time we kissed,
you tell me to close my eyes and reach out my hand,
the curtain closes and there alone I stand,
exposed and naked to the world that surrounds me,
I open my eyes feeling a blanket of lonely,
I look around, no longer do I see the beautiful place in which we met,
only my dark empty room, my skin wet and cold from a deep sweat.
