5,840 is the number of sunrises and sunsets one sees in 16 years of life.
How could you only see so few?

They are beautiful.

The golden yellow and orange

Mixing with reds.

The rays reaching and stretching

To touch everything green.

Your pores of skin feel the tingle

Of warmth as well.

You can hear the birds chirping and

Fluttering to the picturesque view.

But the settings with hints

Of purple and blue are

Even more spectacular.

Oh yes!  The stars!

Brilliant white on a black scape.

How could you only see so few?
