To all those who ever contemplated it.
In the beginning it starts as a tiny boil but small as a mite,
Before you know it the hidden monster grows out of our sight.
It leaves all behind but destruction in a sea of blood red,
People falling through the cracks till they wind up dead.

The signs are so small; unseen to the simple naked eye,
Those people don't share how they feel instead they just cry.
It sits like a big cat stalking and watching  its wary prey,
Then strikes when they are very weak but never goes away.

I feel for the ones that died since nobody stopped to care,
They took away their life because they just couldn't share.
For if they had tried I am sure they would have easily found,
An ear to listen to their sorrow that kept their souls abound.

I tell all of you who feel this way to just let out the grief,
Before death sneaks up disguised like a hooded black thief.
I've been to the hospital; it's sure a lonely, cold place to be,
They hide you in dark corners for not even a doctor to see .

They offer no real help, an ear to listen to your sadness,
Pump you full of drugs, it's complete freaking madness.
What we all really needed and craved from the very start,
Is someone to have listened and opened their own heart.
