Mental Circus

Light this candle and see
what’s left after the angels show
a black parade of mutilated sanity
and severed tragedies filled with
death and funeral’s.

Why’d you call the angels love?
and leave me to pick up the shards
full of guilt and feeling like a lost soul
did you ever want to hold on?!
instead of surrendering to the angels!

Welcome, to a candlelight darkness
where we’re all lined up to die
and the lives of the living are torn
apart and stitched together again
in a sick parody.

Hail, hail I’m full of grace and disgrace
now I’m anthemia? anathema I will remain!
hey, why’d you call the angels?
and surrender to death’s beckoning call
to sleeping forever.

Hey, you called the angels!
but, I can’t call the angels
or I’ll sleep forever and
I’ll hold on, hold on,
won’t call the angels!

Hey, call the angels
welcome to a mental circus!!
