An old string plucked on one of my favorite harps. ;)
one man's son
slays another
a sanctioned murder
a glorious death.
go tell his mother
that the whore War
has stolen her future's breath.

ah, foolish humans.

the stars gaze on the same,
the sun shines on the names
of friend and foe alike
carved into cold white.

fields sown with stone crosses ripen with time,
beautiful testaments to an ugly crime
and mankind's lust
for the whore War.
