This is a poem about lost love and the struggle of forgetting.
The stain of our love
like my mascara on your pillowcase.
A constant reminder
of what has been
what is over
and broken.
The burn you left in my heart
a cigarette put out on my arm.
You are the cringing of my teeth
as the blade breaks my skin.
You will disappear
with each bloody teardrop.
Invading my head,
crawling into my bed,
chasing away my dreams.
Forcing my thoughts
to dwell upon you.
You become my reason
to intoxicate my being.
Let it burn down my throat,
hoping hat on it's way down
it will stop to numb my heart.
