How can a love so right, be so wrong? You broke my heart.
I watch you everyday,
Hear those words you say,
Your eyes an icy blue,
With the first look I knew,
That this feeling in my heart,
Mean't that we could never part.

Those three words you dared to utter,
Sent my heart into a flutter,
In which I did return,
So we could continue to learn,
That this game of love we do play,
And with each word we do say,
Is something that we live each day.

Distant have you become,
Deep to your core oh so numb,
At my touch you do flinch,
And with this I merely winch,
I can feel the dark clouds swirl,
As your lips do curl,
You utter three words once more,
And I find myself upon the floor.

The words you spoke,
Took long enough to soak,
Into this foolish mind,
Bitterness did I find,
For the words you did say,
Took my breath away,
For I thought we would love until we could love no more,
But instead you have left me sore.

How could a love so right, be so wrong?
You destroyed it when you said: So Long.
