A speculative poem about aliens
What do aliens think
When they look into the sky?
Do they try to count the stars
And learn about different galaxies?
Have they taken the terrifying leap
To visit what they see?
Maybe they're just like us
Lying back on clear nights
Resting multiple heads on tentacles
Gazing up at the tiny points of light
And wondering:
Are we looking back?
