Memories of a lost love & loves uncertain future.
Saturn & Venus appear from beneath
the inky blue clouds at dawn.
From whence shall I look for my new love to appear?
From the sky & dawn's new awakenings?
or a daughter of the moon & old ideas?
Will destiny provide or shall I
face the cold world in search of her alone?
becoming an explorer of virgin terrain,
a seeker of untouched lands?

I remember when first we met,
so young,
timid, green;
meant fo each other.
Too young perhaps.
All of life for us yet still a surprise;
hidden behind the veiled distance of time;
lost in future seasons of shrouded mist.
Martyrs of a sardonic world, mocking
the chance of a first love destiny.
But how right it felt,
even after running our separate ways.

Together in a cold room of that make-shift apartment.
Pale bare skin the only light.
Awkward in each other's arms but still one.
Time disappeared along with everything else.
Only we remained, love sick,
reminded one last time of the
mistake we had already made...forever.

I wonder, do you ever dream of me as I dream of you?
Awakened at dawn's joyous hour
with the timeless memories & ageless smiles.
In love I am with the ghost of you
while you still live- but are dead to me.
We pass words & smiles only in those mornings,
which are forever marked by you
& the love we shall forever share
as long as dreams are dreamed,
as long as I exist.
