A dying boys' last thought before death.
I see her sitting there on the corner
Waiting for my last gasp of air.
Her eyes are like the fire all around me
Burning my clothes and hair.

She sits there with her legs crossed
Quiet, patient, and calm.
While tears cool my burned cheeks
I wipe them off with my palm.

I pull my legs away from the flames
With burned skin as my reward.
At least my family is safe at my sister’s play
For that I thank the lord.

Mom and Dad, no matter how much
You yelled and hit me I love you guys.
And tell my sisters that
Their big brother says goodbye.

The Angel rouse and slowly
Walks toward me.
The pain's so intense
How much longer can it be?

Somewhere my sister takes her last bow
As I take in my last breath.
Then I get swept away
By the Angel of Death.
