The darkness of loneliness can cripple us, but there is hope. Love
A world full of darkness,
A mind full of pain,
I could not smell the roses,
I did not have the strength.

The birds did not sing to me,
Their glorious melodies,
A sunrise held no Peace,
Loneliness haunted my dreams.

Closed inside myself,
With fear, and despair,
My spirit damaged,
My soul in disrepair.

I saw myself unworthy,
Of even simple love.
No one could ever want me,
Not even God above.

One day while I was drowning,
In my misery.
I heard a stranger calling,
He was calling out to me.

“Don’t give up beloved,”
He whispered in my ear.
“I’m standing hear beside you,
Let me dry your tears.”

Upon my salty cheek,
He laid a gentle kiss.
He held me for a moment,
And my heart was filled with bliss.

“Your life is filled with darkness,
Let me help you fight,”
Then he said the strangest thing.
He said “Let there be light.”
