How someone may feel if he is down and out and is forced to beg
My clothes are all ragged and torn
I've been here since early morn
As you pass by I feel your scorn
and your hostility

You never look me in the eye
as you hurriedly pass by
in your expensive suit and tie
and your hostility

It's demeaning to beg each day
I don't want to live this way
You have your job, you have your pay
and your hostility

I hope some day soon you may find
life has treated you unkind
then perhaps you will change your mind
and your hostility
