Stars did not shine before you;
The sun did not rise and cast its glow.
Flowers did not bloom and smell as sweet;
Mighty rivers did not rage and flow.

Darkness haunted my days before you;
The pain and heartache seemed so strong.
You brought me from a world of loneliness;
into a happiness I hadn't known in so long.
