A poem of self criticism prolonging a confession of love
I lie across the hall awake in thoughts of you
Searching for the words, Finding very few
With the hopeless feeling of rejection tearing at my mind
All the things I despise of myself leave me lying here tonight
Wondering if you wish I was lying next to you
Wondering how you feel, Wondering what I should do
I walk across the hall and hesitate at your door
Fight to speak your name, Yet walk away once more
One day I will tell you, One day I'll let you know
One day I'll hold you close and let my feelings show
Until that day I'll dream of you and hold my pillow tight
With thoughts of you eating at my heart, Night after night
