I believe this explain a lot of us teens.
So, these are the rebel years,
full of regret and tears.
Learning what it takes to make it,
careless if we break it.
Smoking, sex, drugs, drinking,
no idea what I'm thinking.
Yeah, these are the rebel days.

Laugh it up, breaking down,
shut you out, block the sound.
Becoming wise, thinking well,
I'm sorry, can't you tell?
Lying, stealing, livin' it up,
Just don't wanna give a fuck.
Yeah, these are the rebel days
