Freedom has never been and never will be free, someone paid the price.
The Freedoms we share have never been free,
Someone had to get them for me.
Someone bled or died, so I didn’t have to,
Someone paid the price, when I didn’t want to.

The Price to pay is always high,
But it paves the way for you and I.
Their selfless acts pave the way,
For us to enjoy freedom everyday.

In the morning as you, shower to wake,
Remember, a soldier may not get to for days.
When you get a headache and call in sick,
Know that people are dieing, yet he won’t quit.

As we complain about how hot, it is now,
He dare not remove his helmet to wipe his brow.
As we sit down to lunch, to eat a bite,
It could be a soldier’s going hungry tonight.

How dare we criticize?
For on the line, it’s not our lives.
We’re still safe, still have our rights.
We can sleep sound at night.

So wave your Flag proud and true,
And remember someone’s already died for you.
