the painful act of breaking up
a happy ending

It breaks my heart to see you alone
but my feelings for you are completely gone
What is the next step I’ll take?
if you still doing things for my sake?

I’m such a coward I know and I admit
I thought I knew the right words that would fit
But in the end I can’t say a damn thing
Cause all I want is you to set me free

I’m not used to this kind of talk
Can we slow down and take a walk?
Can it just vanish in the blink of an eye?
Why do you have to kneel in front of me and cry?

A cliché I’ll say to you this time
“it’s not you, it’s me” such a famous line
Forgive me for taking off my hands on yours
Let’s forget about us and take our separate course
