Reflections of what represents tranquility.
Tranquility
By: Rogue Ronin

The night sky is dark as black velvet.
Stars twinkle like newly cut diamonds.
Ghostly, pale-white light emits from the full moon.
It illuminates the twists and turns of the winding river.

The wind whistles through the trees.
Its sound is like a gentle song, calming a restless soul.
I close my eyes, and listen to the soft melody.
It makes my soul feel at peace.

In the distance, a lone wolf bays at the full moon.
Not long after, other wolves join in with their chorus.
For a brief moment, their melody over powers the gentle wind.
As soon as the melody came, it went, and the wind continued to sing its gentle song.

The tranquility in my soul is finally equal to the tranquility of the river.
The restlessness that’s been inside of me, is being pulled under the rushing current.
It disappears, never to resurface, and finally puts my soul at ease.

The once dark night sky, phases into a crystal blue.
In the distance, I can see the merging between the sky and the river.
The only way I could see the separation, is by the light from the rising sun that runs across the horizon.
The inspiration to see, is the red, yellow, and orange as they intertwine within each other.

As the sun climbs higher, I look around, the other colors start to fade.
At that moment, I realized something, my soul is no longer restless.
I finally found what I’ve been looking for, my tranquility.
