Poems I wrote this past year while under emotional and physical distress.
A DREAM

Last Night I appeared on a plain.
Alone with the moonlit sky
I bathed in the meekness of the tall wheat,
Questioning the stars.
Away from there the soul opposite
Who I’ve not yet seen, stood on a mountainous top,
Overlooking the flat earth.
Why does he look at me?
Does he not see that we do not fit?
“Do not question the stars”, he sings to me
“Admire and let all else go.
Fate that abides by destiny has brought you to me.
We are where the plain meets the mountain.”
Never looked upon before in this way,
He stares and studies me with his Passionate eyes
Unto the uncompetitive.
He gazes at me lifting my eyes that no longer see level.

THE GREATEST BATTLE

Aching…Aching…Aching.
From what?
Aching…Aching…Aching.
Love? Exhaustion? Stress?
I do not know?
You must learn to decipher?
I battle with myself.

Is it my Mind Against my Heart?
Maybe its your Heart Against your Mind.
My soul aches of fearful Emotions.
Ah…A Body full of hidden wants.
Fear? Happiness? Mourning?
Well how do you really feel?
How can I know you do not?
I battle with Myself

Can’t Control who I am.
You Need to control what you do.
Does that mean it’s really me you see?
Or an Act?
Real Me? I am looking for you!
I want to know what you really want…
But this time…
Without the battle.

To be Done

Done with you...
That is what I wish.
This Heart has no place for you;
For it is done.
Mended Wounds appear on the Outside,
Yet internally they weep of blood.
My Heart regrets you...
My Heart rejects you...
I Pity you for your attempt.
Perhaps with time my soul will heal.
Perhaps with time my soul will forgive;
Because to be Done with you,
It is not you who I must forgive...
It is myself.

Strength for My Mother

Oh mother, mother...
Please don't cry, please don't weep.
A gift from you of strength I keep.
I keep it in my heart; I keep it in my soul.
Along side with your love
It completes me and makes me whole.
Sweet mother, oh mother…my guardian angel.
Let me bare the burden of my life's own faults.
Allow the worry to roll of your halo
And slip into the sea,
the home of earth's deep dreams.
For this gift from you has won great battles
And to stop in my life now will show defeat.
A hopeful soul can never be at lost
For it lives past the last breath, soars in the heavens,
And touches the lives of the memories in the past.
It lives in the love and hope of you.
Oh Mother, My mother--A gift that I will forever be grateful for.

The Journey

Those who's feet are carried by the road,
A heart carried by a passion,
Whose mind is carried by a goal
Those who's past has too quickly gone by,
Their present consumed by work,
Destined to a future of self-sacrifice.
Those who's desires reach beyond the horizon,
A dream that seems impossible to obtain.
Those who's sprit can not be beaten by the struggles,
For it is the struggles that in the end makes the journey.

(Untiltled)

The skylight beaks past the moon
To peak on the crest of the mountain ridge.
For these shadows do not follow the sundial
But instead run deeper and deeper into the soul of the magna earth.
The magna earth. The earths fire. The earths soul.
A soul can not be kept unquestioned, unloved, or ignored.
It will erupt or be kept silent.
It is its passion, It is its character
And when It speaks it erupts as an overwhelming, nuturing but desaterous force.
But to be Silent-- That it its pain.
A pain that awaits inspiration to freely express its true firey belly.
