A poem about age and how fast time goes by,even though the mirror itself does not fadeaway
The Immortal Stone

The glistening of glass

guarded by metal,wood,or brass

shining brightly,relfecting the sun

stuck into the wall with a nail gun

sitting there everyday

waiting for its master to oneday move it to a new destination

It glistens like a magical stone

reflecting a image of a mortal soul

Every morning I come to it once more

Like always it stands there staring at me

I can't help, but to stare into it

As i stand in front of it, like looking into the sea

I move my hand to the cold stone

It reflects my finger,as if its from another world

Then connected to the finger is a person up aboard

glimmering into my eyes, like a shadow or a ghost

Then years pass by

I once again waddle to it's shining face

When I look into my eyes, they are young and full of heart

But as I look to my skin and bones

They look like they have started to fall apart

Even though I am old and gray

Not a day passes by that makes the immortal stone

fade away.......like I shall
