This was written about my son's father, as a need for closure.
You had me in a place
Where I would die for you,
gave my life to you.
You were the one I ran to,
When everything fell apart,
I trusted you,
Put you on a pedestal.

There were nights that I lay in bed
And cried for you, wanted to die for you
Wondering what I did for you to put me
Through, all the shit, you put me through
Boy I was in love with you

You lied to me, put your hands on me
Cried to me, said you're sorry
But you changed me, had me in a place
Where I couldn't be where I wanted to be

I hated you, so I played with you
Wanted you to feel the same pain you
Put me through

Finally I had you in the place I wanted you
You were feeling all the things I went through
But you couldn't handle it
Now I see it wasn't worth it

You still refuse to see what you did to me
You abused me & used me
Then you chose to leave

You can't replace anything that
You’ve stolen from me
Now all I want is for you to let me be
