My fight with invisible demons.
I clench my breath,
I can see it thundering toward me.
Black, relentless, infinite.

I enjoy the last few moments in the sun.
Heaven only knows when I will see it again.
Kiss my baby goodbye, I will miss her.

Rage fills my frustrated soul,
Powerless to control this place.
The blackness collides and envelopes my heart.
Blinding my emotions.
It sqeezes until I am dry of tears,
Numb from its icy grip.

Ravaged and wrought, I give up the struggle.
Only then does it slither away,
Certain to return when I feel the sun's warmth.
