Its self explanatory.
Pale lampost lights pave the way
To a place I thought I knew
Darkened windows, bolted doors
All empty without you.

I don't think it should be like this
It shouldn't feel this way
I shouldn't keep on missing you
All the live-long day.

Mere days apart, yet so much more
I thought for sure I'd crack
Yet here I am, hollow inside
I thought that I'd made it back

Why can't you let me inside once more
That place I used to live
Why can't you return just one tiny part
Of the love I used to give?

I walked through the fire, swam through the ice
Seeking you still would I roam
I found my way back to the place we began, yet
Never felt so far from home.
