The hollowness of ones life with unfulfilled dreams, and no love in return
The gentle caress of warmth
The knowledge of an invited presence
The acknowledgement of unspoken words
A fountain bubbling, coursing
From unplumbed depth to overflow
In an exuberant chorus
And yet in me
Darkness
An echo for company

Is it possible?
Does any yet remain?
The maddening circles of the search
Prospects drop like flies
To those of persuasion
Is all indeed vanity?
One loss, forever lost?

Greater has one Man
The Ultimate Giver
Life, and in this
Love
