A rhyming poem I wrote for my mother
Drifting in the breeze like a willow trees leaves
This is what life feels like to me
Riding in a small boat across the deepest sea
Without an oar or a purpose
This is what life feels like to me

Snow crunching beneath my heavily booted feet
Up in the North Pole visiting Santa
Trying to find one of his elves to keep
Wading through the snow several feet deep

Playing with dolphins in the ocean
Wrestling with gators in Florida
Acting like a tourist in New York
Taking classes at Concordia

Catching a show in Las Vegas
Digging my toes in the sands of L.A.
Checking out the homestead in Kentuckey

I've traveled all over this nation
Seen the best of mans creation
But the very best thing is like no other
Because she holds the title of my mother
