Screaming into a cave,
where the echoes diminish the loneliness,
of a boy in the dark.

Shouting at the clouds,
where the wind hollows out the laughter,

Yelling in the fog,
where the mist defenestrates the hope,
of a boy in the dark.

Whispering in the water,
where the bubbles isolate the longing,
of a boy in the dark.

Glowing in the darkness,
like a firefly at dusk,
nostalgia guides the boy,
back towards the light of the porch.
