This is a poem I wrote, I finally decided to share it. Hope you like it.
                                    Eyes of an Indian Man

                                    By Charley Campbell

Have you looked into the eyes of an Indian man?
Have you heard his cries as his ancestors can?

Have you seen his weariness, touched his tears,
or known the sorrow of his younger years?

Have you felt his heartbeat, touched his wrinkled face,
or imagined his peoples fall from grace?

Have you noticed how proudly he stands,
or seen the calluses on his swollen hands?

Have you heard his song on the storms fierce wind?
Never happy, never free of anothers sin.

Do you understand the pain in his eyes,
or hear the sadness in his cries?

Look in his soul and see his sorrow.
As he prays but for another mans tomorrow.

Watch as he awaits the new sunrise.
See how his prayers bring tears to his eyes.

He's lost his way, lost his land.
Stolen by another greedy man.

He's lost his love, his way of life.
Still he struggles through pain and strife.

Can you truly see the Indian man?
Can you see into his eyes as his ancestors can?
