Not sure of a title yet, I came up with this while eating at Carrabbas and watching people
He will work with his hands
I will have a garden
He will come home in his Levi’s
And lumberjack shirt after a hard day’s work
And I will have supper ready
In our cozy little home.
We can’t afford much,
But we’ll get by just fine
Sharing a slice of apple pie.

He will work on the seventeenth floor
I will drive an SUV
He will come home in his Docker’s
And leave to go golfing in a light Polo.
I will get my nails done and
go shopping to fill the voids
in our house, surrounded by it’s fraternal siblings,
on a clean and quiet cul-de-sac.
We need Hawaii to make us
Fall in love again.

Best of all, we stay ourselves-
Two people safe from the world together.
I will make the bacon and potatoes
And he will scramble the eggs
Wearing our pajamas and
Staying in on Sunday.
Curled up in front of the TV,
My head nestled on his chest
A kiss on the forehead
And a light shared breath.
