this is a poem i wrote after my grandmother died...its about sorrow and emotion.
The flame trees blind all those that could once see
The fire is gone from their eyes, they can’t believe
The dark is all around them, they cannot see
The air is thin oh no, they cannot breathe
The life is slipping right from beneath their feet

As they tumble through the darkness, old hate rages like fire inside them
As they tumble new thoughts of love warm them like fire in the cold
As they fall thoughts of death and life fire the flame trees behind them
Oh wait! Here we go, one cold hand grips another, and together they are fire
As the dark fades and life returns we see the fire in their eyes
We see the breath in their lungs
We see the flame trees bring them home
