This poem is a little dark. It hints to the monster within all of us struggling to emerge.
Look into my eyes,
and see despair.
Hearken to my cries,
and feel the hatred in the air.

Look at your hands,
now staind by blood.
It stops the sands of time,
as they turn to mud.

Where are you now?
You followed me.
Who are you now?
Are you like me?

Reach into the abyss,
I'll guide your way.
Nothing is amiss,
you're here to stay.

Dark times lay ahead,
as shadows cover all.
I am here to take your stead,
close your eyes as justice falls.

Where are you now?
You followed me.
Who are you now?
Are you like me?

I know somehow,
what has to be.
Accept your fate,
you're just like me.
