Autumn in Black

Stay close all night,
Dark, soft and dreamless.
Sleep, eyes open in the light,
Glaring, hard with hatred.

Run, run with all your might,
struggle against the endless torment.
Step into the waves of endless grime,
push yourself into the torrent.

The maple trees,
a beautiful wall between you and me.
The winds will blow, strong and unforgiving,
Listen to me, and escape the dark.

Jump, jump across the burning candles.
You won't be harmed, as long as you don't meddle.
Come on, be quick, I'm in a hurry,
Jump through the flying maple leaves.

Give me your hand,
I'll pull you to dry land,
Don't hesitate, I'll do my best.
We'll shelter - alive, in this nest.

As you bring me under the red trees,
it carries tortured memories.

I will follow you, my friend.
I'll tear the seas apart and sink the dry lands.
I won't give up until I find you, friend.
I won't stop until I reach the same maple tree.

As the full moon rises to it's extent,
I bloom open, drenching wet.
There you stand, under red leaves.
Wait for me, don't start running.

Then you fade slowly,
I dissolve into a pool of sadness,
covered and swallowed up by the darkness.

I'll follow you, my friend,
I'll run through the thickest thorns and walk the coldest lands.
I'll dangle myself from the maple tree if I will,
Don't leave me, I'm coming.

The sun sets and melts,
Footsteps echo through the orchard.
A scream pierces the uneasy silence,
A sunflower wilts and dies away.

I'm coming for you, my friend.
I'm lost in the dense mist and rain.
So extend your hand now,
and pull me away from this everlasting pain.

Since the day the sunflower withered,
The autumn has never been happy.
Before winter, it'll blow hard,
marking that the oblivion won't be going away.
