It is a poem that will be published into two different books.
As i walked down
The dark and lonely road
At a quarter past 2 in the a.m.
I watched as the crows
and all the people
Of the night
Come out to play
They wonder
Why I am here
But I am the one truly wondering
Why I am there
The dark man
In the suit
Creeping his way along
The dawn is but hours away
And it won't be very long
I can't see very clearly
As I pass an alley
But hopefully
The day will break me
Away
From all of this
But why would I want to
Break away from my bliss
I am the night man
You can hear me sing
The sounds of the night
Past the morning light
Inside of your own little fright
I can see through your mask
That you hide behind
Because I know
From time to time
I grow with you
The blues
Tapping at my feet
The sounds take control of me
All the people of the night
Come to get their big fix
Of me
I watch them sit their happily
Not something crooning
But maybe something soothing
In the end I won't know the difference
Between all of this
So time to say goodbye again
Until next we meet again
