loss of a loved one

  Lost CHILD

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
There were no missing posters of your smiling face.
Nor were there any memorial services in your honor.
…And there is no burial site with a headstone,
you were separated from me before you were born.

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
I’ll never be able to hold you  in my arms, or sing you a lullaby.
I’ll never  hear you laugh or see your smile.
I’ll never be able to wipe a tear from your eye.

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
Regret is killing my soul.
I’m guilt ridden and grief stricken.
I suffer from sleepless nights and endless days, behind the choice I made.

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
What was I thinking about.
Where did I get the notion, that taking a life was alright.
Society calls it Abortion, but am I no better than a thug who takes a life over drugs.

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
I’m sorry, I should have known better.
At the time it seemed like the right thing to do.
Young, single, already the mother of one – GOD please forgive me for what I’ve done.

Child of Mine
      Lost… Forever
If I had it to do over again, into this world I would have brought you in.
