This is a poem I wrote for my dance teacher. She loved it. So it has served its purpose.
Thank you for teaching me the ways of dance
Pirouette, Plei', Leap, Axel, Arabesque, Attitude
You have taught me that and more

Mrs. Hunk, you spin, twirl, and drift
Gracefully as you move through the air
You seem weightless
An angel who has found her wings

You're the rose whose petals dance with the wind
Drifting forever in graceful circles
Being the budding blossom I watch you
Doing my best to learn your techniques

Someday I too will bloom
And I hope I turn out a lot like you
