Romance/Love Poem - I laid my heart down by a crystal blue stream
I laid my heart down by a crystal blue stream;
This is where my mind goes to dream.
The place my soul loves to dance,
Silently longing for true romance,
Emotions my heart tries to redeem.

Moonlight shimmers through the dense night air.
Beams of light revive our fantasies with care.
Without a word, I feel you draw near;
Loneliness and loss disappear.
Still my mind says beware.

My heart takes control as I quietly sleep.
Into your sensual eyes I fall deep,
Lost in your love precious and sweet.
Safe in your arms I silently retreat,
Nevermore, these tears to weep.

Enchanted by your warm embrace,
The steps of our love we trace.
Engaged in the dance of our hearts,
Each beat was written as if by Mozart,
Hidden forever in time and space.

Lulled in slumber by the crystal blue stream,
Under the twinkle of the stars I continue to dream.
Among the clouds we float as we dance,
Entwined together with love in our romance.
Our hidden passion once again we redeem.

Filled with desire in the seductive night air,
We hold each other tenderly without a care.
The light closes in as the dawn draws near;
All thoughts of the new day magically disappear.
In the back of my mind, I know I should beware.

Still quietly, I slumber as I peacefully sleep,
Lost in my dream in a trance I fall deep,
To the kiss from your lips enticing and sweet.
Back to our forbidden love I contently retreat,
Where your smile glows and I no more weep.

My head on your chest in our passionate embrace,
The look of love on your face I adoringly trace.
Listening to the beat of your musical heart,
We begin to dance to the tune like Mozart,
Safely in each other's arms in our private space.
