The joys of being a mother
Who would’ve thought
That there could be joy
In cleaning spilled milk
Or tripping over a toy

Giving piggy back rides
Playing hide and go seek
Are part of mom’s job
Week after week

The first day of school
Is hardest of all
For a mom who can’t be there
If her baby should fall

The job is hard
But the pay is great
Becoming a mom
Is a woman’s greatest fate
