A description of the seasons as people. Slightly favoring autumn. Obviously. :)
The fair autumn maiden,
her long hair a flame.
As wild as her season,
no colored leaf the same.

The fair autumn maiden,
her rippling cloak the breeze.
The finest artist of them all,
she paints the trees.

The fair autumn maiden,
her flowing robes of leaves.
With fair pale face and midnight eyes,
the Queen of Hallow's Eve.

The dark prince of winter,
how pale his face, how black his hair!
The earth is blanketed in frost,
beneath his chilling stare.

The dear spring princess,
her honey-colored hair!
The sender of spring showers,
flowers blossom beneath her care.

The royal King of Summer,
in robes of deity.
Expresses fully the warm summer sun,
upon the earth with glee!

But the fair autumn maiden,
her long hair a flame;
with holiday and wonder laden,
puts them all to shame.
